TALLAHASSEE TALOOFA FEST presented by The Midtown Merchants Association

Come on out and have some fun at the second annual Taloofa Fest in Midtown Tallahassee! Taloofa Fest is part block party, part local history fair and part music festival.
This event is for ALL ages!

Starting with The Taloofa Adventure Challenge (sponsored by Sweat Therapy Fitness) through Lafayette Park at 3pm, starting line and registration is in the park behind Whataburger by the 5th Ave. crosswalk on Gadsden St. Participants will be designated as Team St. Augustine and Team Pensacola by Taloofa headbands (included with registration) and will race to three different stations where they will be asked a local historical question. Failing to answer correctly will oblige the racer to perform a time delaying task that has a historical significance. This is a family friendly, short (1.4 mi) trek, through beautiful Lafayette Park. It’s a great way to spend your afternoon in the heart of Tallahassee, while learning some fun historical facts about our city’s founding.

Register for the Adventure Challenge at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tallahassees-taloofa-fest-and-adventure-challenge-tickets-25130015553?aff=ebrowse

After the Taloofa Adventure Challenge, the fun continues in the streets of Midtown! The Festival will be centralized on Thomasville Road between 5th and 6th Avenues(1100block), with live music, vendors, exhibits, kids’ activities, food, and beverages (adult beverages as well!).
St. Francis Wildlife and the Gulf Marine Specimen Lab will have critters on hand along with historical reenactors from Mission San Luis, representatives from the Museum of Fl. History, the Fl. Archives, and the Historic Capitol Building and the Knott House will have tables set up, as well.

Presented by The Midtown Merchants Association / I Heart Midtown and benefiting The Alzheimers Project.
